It is the brainchild of a doctor couple who are in love with Africa and its food, culture, wildlife, and nature. Their first contact with Africa was in their childhood through Bibhuti Bhushan Bandyopadhyay's Chander Pahar and they have paid a tribute to him through their Chander Pahar gallery. Their aim is to spread their love for Africa among the people of Kolkata for which they have also opened a Tourism Corner ' Under the African Sky Tours and Travels ' which helps to explore, discover, and experience Africa in all its hues
